His Excellency Iyorwuese HAGHER (M)
High Commissioner
High Commission for the Federal Republic of Nigeria
295 Metcalfe Street
Ottawa, ON K2P 1R9
Canada

Your Excellency Mr. Iyorwuese Hagher:

I am a Canadian citizen who has much interest in your country.

I have read about the revolts that have occurred over the recent election of a Christian president in your country. I have read that over 31,000 people have been displaced and that it is feared that hundreds of Christians have been killed due to a backlash from the conservative Muslim community. I have also read that over 100 Christian churches have been burned.

I have also read about a couple of failed bomb attacks in the city of Jos. Many Christians around the world are watching these developments with much concern. Please forward to your government my concerns. May the government of Nigeria do all that it can to protect innocent people from terror and jihad.

Thank you for reading my concerns and for acting in your diplomatic capacity. I have also written and expressed my concerns to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and to the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs. I would be pleased to hear from you to learn more about these developments.

Respectfully and sincerely,

Shawn Stevens
